Turkey
China
China, a big country. Untouched in so many ways it is quite "old" in a sense. Then there are the new cities, ultra modern cities mushrooming at a rate almost impossible to believe. The past months have taken me to several cities: Guangzho, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Xiamen, Shanghai, Hong Kong and several others. Each unique in their own ways. Visited Hangzhou twice last month but what intrigues me most was the "feeling" like I have never been to Hangzhou before. The second visit felt like I was at a different place - same buildings, same lake - but different. The weather perhaps.

my fortunate life
how about him?if you think your salary is low
how about her?if you think you are unhappy
look at themwhen you feel like giving up
think of this manif you complain about your transport system
how about them?if you think you suffer in life,
do you suffer as much as he does?if your society is unfair to you,
how about her?its all relative but it reminds me of my fortunate life

Trip up North

The game plan was simple. Ride until my bum got sore, then find a good place to take some pictures, grab something to eat and go on from there. Easy peasy. Except for one small problem. When I hit the border, some 450km later, I was still comfortable, cool and relaxed.
Best I press on then; but instead of going into Thailand I made my way back towards Penang. The first reason for stopping (apart from the fill-ups) was hunger. Grab a sandwich and keep going. All in all, I did just under 750 kms that day, without a single twinge, ache or grumble. That's impressive. For the bike I mean. ;-)
